The Nulka is an autonomous, rocket-propelled, expendable active decoy designed to protect surface combatants against modern, radar-guided anti-ship missiles (ASMs). Unlike traditional "passive" decoys (like Chaff), which create a static cloud of metal foil, Nulka is an "active" system that flies a programmed flight path to lure threats away from the hull.
